The Chiefs apparently will go into training camp with just one kicker _ seventh-round pick Ryan Succop.

The club announced on Tuesday night it has waived kicker Connor Barth who appeared in 10 games last season after Nick Novak was released.

Succop, the last player taken in the NFL draft, had a strong, but erratic leg during his college career at South Carolina.

The last time the Chiefs went into camp with just a rookie kicker was 2007, and we know what happened then with Justin Medlock, a fifth-round pick.

He lasted one game.
