Tyson Jackson, the former LSU standout whom the Chiefs drafted No. 3 overall in April, said Monday that he's confident his agent, Eugene Parker, and the Chiefs will agree to contract terms before the team opens training camp July 31 in River Falls, Wis.
Jackson said he hadn't recently checked on the progress of negotiations between the two sides, saying he was paying closer attention to learning his assignments in the Chiefs' complicated 3-4 defense.
"I’m still confident," Jackson said. "My agent is going to do a real good job. I really don’t know too much about it, but I’m pretty sure he’s going to do a good job and put me in camp when I’m supposed to be there.
"I don’t even think about it. There’s too much in the playbook for me to worry about that right now."
Kansas City coach Todd Haley told reporters Monday that Jackson seemed to be grasping the mental side of the game but that it might be unfair to judge Jackson's physical skills before the team practices in pads at training camp.
The Chiefs signed left tackle Branden Albert, one of their first-rounders in 2008, the day before training camp began. Defensive lineman Glenn Dorsey missed the first day of workouts before his agent and former GM Carl Peterson agreed to terms.

I don’t really work on PS3 – I HATE the f*cking controller! I love the Blu-ray player”
“But right now I’ll always work on Xbox with Gears. I feel very comfortable with the 360. I like the controller!”
Translation….I’m sucking Microbucks cock right now but would be willing to suck Sony’s for the right price!!
Dude both controllers have the same amount of buttons 2 joysticks & a directional pad. You need a stronger argument than that.
