The Chiefs might have cornerback Brandon Flowers (hamstring) and punter Dustin Colquitt (groin) for Sunday's game against the Chargers in San Diego, coach Herm Edwards said Monday.
Linebacker Derrick Johnson (hamstring)and cornerback Patrick Surtain (quad)are less likely to play.
The Chiefs may have three roster spots to fill this week. Kolby Smith will go to the injured-reserve list. Larry Johnson is serving his NFL suspension. Backup punter Steve Weatherford will be released if the Chiefs determine Colquitt is ready to punt.
