Left tackle Branden Albert is expected to return to the starting lineup Sunday after missing the Carolina game while recovering from a dislocated right elbow.
A Denver player fell on Albert’s arm a week earlier, and he was carted off the field. Albert continued wearing a brace on his right arm during Wednesday’s practice.
Albert missed time during offseason practice and the preseason with separate injuries. Coach Herm Edwards said Wednesday he was impressed the first-round pick has been able to remain focused on playing despite missing so much time.
"He’s kind of a unique player," Edwards said. "The thing about him, mentally he can stay in the game. Physically, he’s a talented player, but the mental part is what’s amazing to me."
