Lane Kiffin was fired as head coach of the Oakland Raiders with a 5-15 record.
Of those five victories, TWO were against the Chiefs. And both were at Arrowhead Stadium.
Go figure.

I have been a Chiefs fan sence 1990. However this team has never replaced the O-line or the QB. It's D has sucked since Thomas Passed away. The only reason they won is because the Broncos had a bad day. Everyone has them and they had there's aginst us. It was luck. Huard was praised for his 21 of 28 and 150 yards! What? 150 yards is good for a rb, but a qb that suck!!!!! no the only way this team wins it to hope for another bad day for the other team.
The Raiders have been a smash-mouth team over the past 2 years. That will win you games when you don't have the best talent at every position.
Look at the Chiefs in the late 80's and early 90's. Those teams could pound you into submission and then the defense would feed off of it. They beat a lot of good teams, especially at Arrowhead.
The Raiders don't have the players to throw the ball 40 times a game. That isn't Kiffen's fault. He didn't have control over personnel moves. The old coot (Al Davis) assemled this team and Kiffen did the best he could.
The Chiefs have not been stout against the run, and that is why they couln't beat the Raiders like they did in the old days (when Carl cared more about winning than lining his pockets with our money).

Jackmo is right on the money about the Raiders. Old crazy Al has ruined the Raiders he loves. You can't expect a team to ever get on the winning path if you fire coaches NON STOP in the NFL, no matter who you draft. It's a great resume builder to have coached under Al Davis, because GM's know if you can work for AL you can work for ANYBODY, because they all know he has lost his mind. ( Just watch that press conference and tell me if he is not ready for the old folks looney farm )

I have no idea if Kiffin is a good or bad coach. He might be great, he might be lousy. Only thing I do know is Al Davis is a complete idiot. Have you ever seen anyone more classless than this guy? I absolutely hate the stinking Raiders, HATE. I thought I would never feel sorry for a coach, or anyone involved in the pathetic Raider organization, but I feel for Kiffin. It was like idiot Davis was trying to sell the public on Kiffins incompetence. A person with character doesn't need to do that. I hope Kiffin sticks it to Al Davis in his press conference today.
