Rookie wide receiver Will Franklin left practice shortly before its end today with what he said was a right knee injury.
Franklin hobbled off the field with help from one of the team's athletic trainers. He later walked in the locker room without assistance.
"Hopefully it's nothing serious and I'll overcome it," Franklin said. "I just took a weird step and felt it tweak.
"No injury is a good injury. I'm just trying to stay as positive as I can. I'm just hoping that nothing bad comes out of it."
Franklin, a fourth-round pick from Missouri, is the first receiver off the bench when the Chiefs go to their three wide-receiver formations. He has three catches for 37 yards in the two preseason games.
