To no one’s surprise, the Chiefs activated running back Kolby Smith off an injured list. Smith will play in tomorrow’s game against the Jaguars.
To make roster room, the Chiefs released wide receiver Bobby Engram.
Smith hasn’t played in a game since injuring his knee in a November game last year against Tampa Bay. But he could play a key role in tomorrow’s game.
The Chiefs will play for the first time this season without Larry Johnson, who is suspended. Jamaal Charles will also get work at running back and Dantrell Savage could also play.
Engram was one of the Chiefs’ major off-season offensive acquisitions but the 36-year-old wide receiver never had much of an impact. He caught five passes for 61 yards. Engram’s playing time has diminished in recent games and no longer had a playing role after recent acquisitions of Chris Chambers and Lance Long.

The petition to stop Larry Johnson from playing again as a Chief is up to 31,500! If you're an LJ hater - go document your vote!
- Obviously management made the wrong decision b/w Jared Allen and Larry Johnson, but that doesn't mean that the right decision to sack LJ can't still be made.
just google larry johnson petition and you'll find it.
